Nancy L. Brock, 71, of Olney, IL, passed away November 18, 2016 at Good Samaritan Hospice Center, Vincennes, IN. She was born August 11, 1945 in Detroit, MI, daughter of David B. and Ora (Garner) Davis.

Nancy graduated from Mt. Vernon High School and then McKendree College with a Bachelor's Degree in education. She later earned her Masters from EIU. Nancy was a teacher for 35 years and enjoyed working with children of all ages. Nancy was an active member in her church. She had a strong faith in the Lord. She took pleasure in knitting and watching her children's and grandchildren's activities. Nancy was a wonderful grandmother to her six grandchildren and enjoyed spending time with family and friends.

She is survived by her husband of 49 years, Jim Brock of Olney, IL; son, Spencer Brock of Calhoun, IL; twin daughters, Kristie Shoemaker and husband Ryan of Dieterich, IL, and Kathie McVaigh and husband Derrick of Evansville, IN; mother, Ora Davis of Dix, IL; grandchildren, Amy, Andy, Reid, Brooke, Nathan, and Nolan; brother, Jerry Davis and wife Marilyn; brother, Harry Davis; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father.

Services at Kistler-Patterson Funeral Home, Olney with burial at Oak Hill Cemetery at Parkersburg.
