Chris W. Weesner, 98, of Olney, died Monday, August 29, 2005, in Pasadena, Texas. Funeral services at Summers-Kistler Funeral Home in Olney with Minister Joe Eggebrecht and Brother Bill Cox officiating. Burial in Haven Hill Cemetery in Olney.
Mr. Weesner was born Oct 10, 1906 in Richland County, the son of Martin and Minnie (Schmidt) Weesner. He married Venus Michael on August 19, 1930. She survives.
He was a school teacher, having taught grades 5-8 at Parkersburg from 1938-1941 and worked for Pure Oil Company and Richland Memorial Hospital. He retired as a painter. He was a member of Elm Street Christian Church in Olney.
Mr. Weesner is survived by his wife of 75 years, Venus Weesner, of Pasadena, Texas; twin children, Margaret Ann King and her husband, Richard, of Pasadena, Texas and Jerome Michael Weesner, who died in infancy; three grandchildren, David, Danny and Debbie Schnautz of Pasadena, Texas; four nephews, Eugene Weesner, Jack Leather, Jim Wisner and Richard Inyart, five nieces, Dove Hudson, Carolyn Masterson, Marilyn Stirrett, Alice Pampe and Alwyn Lichner.
He was preceeded in death by his parents; five sisters, Lucy Leathers, Beulah Eichorst, Marjorie Wisner, Elsie Rash Bryan and LaVange Inyart; one brother, Guy Weesner; three nephews, Bill Weesner; Jewell Eichorst and Don Wisner; and four nieces, Carroll Rose, Bernita Utz, Betty Burton and Patty Rash.
