Larry D. Runyon, 78, of Olney, passed away on Thursday, Septermber 7, 2017 at Deaconess Gateway in Evansville, Indiana. Services at Antioch Christian Church, Olney with burial in Olive Branch Cemetery, rural Richland County.

He was born on July 22, 1939 in Olney, IL, the son of Russell and LaVera (Clark) Runyon. Larry married Mary Harden on February 14, 1958 at the Church of Christ in Olney, IL. She survives.  

Larry was a lifelong farmer and enjoyed history and family genealogy. He also took pleasure in riding motorcycles and traveling all across the U.S. Larry was known to never turn away a stray cat. Larry was the Decker Township Supervisor for years and IL Rep for American Ag in Washington DC. He was also a member of the Antioch Christian Church. 

Larry is survived by his wife, Mary Runyon of Olney; son, Van Runyon and wife Vicki of Centralia, IL; son, Tony Runyon and wife Paula of Evansville, IN; daughter, Lisa Huizinga of Las Vegas, NV; son, Jim Runyon and wife Tammy of Olney; 8 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren; brother, Melvin Runyon of Olney; sister, Janet Runyon of GA; sister, Shirley Keen of Olney; sister, Kathy Bundy of Mt. Carmel, IL; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and Sister, Linda Russell.
