Raedell (Pauley) Sager, 82, of Olney, Illinois, died on Thursday, July 29, 2021 at Carle Richland Memorial Hospital. Raedell was born on October 6, 1938 in Richland County, IL, the daughter of Escoe R.  Pauley and Dollie E. (Linxwiler) Birkes. She married James Sager on September 26, 1954 in Shawneetown, IL, and he preceded her in death on June 3, 2013.

Raedell worked for several years at Salvation Army in Olney. She enjoyed music, especially Southern Gospel, as well as going to auctions and rummage sales.

Raedell  is survived by her sons, James O. Sager and wife Sandy of Olney and Jesse W. Sager and wife Tamie of Olney; granddaughter, Jamie L. Sager and her daughters, Sophie L. Combs and Baylie L. Combs of Olney; grandson, Erik J. Sager and wife Jodi, and their baby on the way, of Edwardsville, IL, and her beloved dog, Tessa.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and brother, Leonard Pauley. 

A Visitation for Raedell will be held on Tuesday, August 3, 2021, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Kistler Patterson Funeral Home in Olney.

A Funeral Service for Raedell will be held at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, August 4, 2021 at Kistler Patterson Funeral Home in Olney. Interment will follow the service at Crest Haven Memorial Park.                     

Memorials can be made to the American Heart Association.
