James Wyatt - Class Of 1949

James "Jimmy" Allen Wyatt  was born on May 29, 1928 in Richland County, Illinois, the son of Elza and Alta Lee (Kimmel) Wyatt and passed away May 13, 2013 in Olney, Illinois.

Jimmy attended the one room school houses of Zion and Seminary School from first grade to eight grade. He attended Claremont High School for his freshman year of high school then attended Olney Township High School.

Jim never married and helped farm near Seminary, IL. He was a long time standing member of Parkersburg Methodist Church. He was a true Christian who loved the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Jim was admired by all who knew him. Jim lived life to the fullest.

He was employed for several years at the Olney Secure Processors plant. He was a resident of Olney Burgin Manor since March 1991. The staff and residents were his love for 22 years. Jim loved to garden, raising delicious watermelons and popcorn on his farm. He moved to his folks family farm at age five near Seminary, IL. Jim and his mother operated the Seminary General Store owned by William Wyatt. Jim was revered for his perseverance for his life zest.

He is survived by his cousins, Judy Deck and husband, Daniel of Olney and Wilma Stivers of Graham, TX, several other cousins in the area as well as the nursing staff and residents of Burgin Manor in Olney.

He was preceded in death by his loving parents and sister, Joan. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
