Aaron Edmund Winans, 70, of 12 Villa Grove, Springfield, Illinois, died Tuesday, November 20, 1962, at St. John's Hospital. Mr. Winans was born at Olney, December 12, 1891 son of Joseph M. and Lottie M. (Baughman) Winans.

E.A. had been a resident of Springfield 21 years. Prior to that, he had resided in St. Louis for 20 years.

He was unit supervisor for Proctor & Gamble Co. for 33 years retiring in 1953.

Surviving are his widow, Fern S.; one daughter, Mrs. Bettie Jo Smith, of Springfield; one sister, Mrs. James Leaton, of Wilmette; and one grandson.

Private services were held at Smith Funeral Chapel with burial in Oak Ridge Cemetery, Springfield.
