Dan Brant - Class Of 1968

Daniel Cyril Brant Sr., 63, of Noble, died at 9:25 a.m. Wednesday, September 11, 2013, at his residence.

Cremation rites were accorded. A memorial service was held at Summers-Kistler Funeral Home in Noble with Dr. Berton Heleine and Pastor Mike Baker officiating.

Dan was the son of John Brant and Laverne (Mason) Lynch. His stepfather, Kenneth Lynch, was a special part of his life. Dan loved sports, and he was a big Cubs fan. He coached Little League baseball for years as well as being the announcer of Noble baseball games. Dan loved to be around family and friends and had a special love for his sister, Donna Hunley. He enjoyed spending time with his kids and grandkids. He will be sorely missed by all those who love him.

He was born January 19, 1950, in Olney. He married Darla Treadway on December 16, 1967. She survives. He was a member of Cornerstone Community Church.

Mr. Brant is survived his wife of 45 years, Darla Brant, of Noble; son, Daniel C. Brant Jr. and wife Daryla, of Olney; son, Timothy Brant and wife Dawn, of Noble; son, John (J.C.) Brant and fiance Dejuana, of Noble; grandchildren, Christopher Brant, Megan Brant, Melisha Poe, Krystal Brant, Timmy Brant, Katlyn Land, Austin Brant, Bryce Brant-Murphy, Payton Brant-Murphy, Nathan Dill, Nicholas Dill, and Madyson Brant; stepfather, Kenneth Lynch, of Olney; sister, Donna Hunley and husband Willard, of Calhoun; sister, Cindy Murphy and husband Jeff, of Noble; sister, Debbie Sanders, of Olney; sister, Dixie Baker and husband Mike, of Calhoun; sister, Beverly Tussey and husband Brian, of Bridgeport; sister, Shelly Stangle, of Olney; brother, Edward Lynch, of Olney; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and sister, Shirley Ping.
