Lucille La Vern Schernekau, 96, of Robinson, former Sunday school and substitute public school teacher, died Wednesday (Nov. 24, 1993).

Lucille was born June 30, 1897 the daughter of Jacob D. and Lillie W. Irwin Shadle.  She married William J. Schernekau on September 4, 1920.

She was a member of First Christian Church, Robinson; Christian Women's Fellowship of the First Christian Church.

She is survived by several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one brother, and four sisters.

Services at the Goodwine Funeral Home, Robinson. Burial in Robinson New Cemetery.
