LaVerne Real (Kimpling) - Class Of 1916

Mrs. LaVerne R. Kimpling, 72 of  601 E. Lafayette Street, retired school teacher, died late last night (1968), following a lengthy illness.  Mrs. Kimpling was well known in the county, since she was born in Noble and lived there for many years and taught school in the county schools, until her retirement.  She last taught in the Cherry Street School in Olney.

She was born in Noble on July 29, 1895, daughter of the late John and Florence Jones Real.  She and her husband, Guy H. Kimpling lived in Noble until 1934.  They moved to Olney about 1-1/2 years ago to retire.  She was for many years, very active in the Noble Chapter, Order of Eastern Star and was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Olney.

Besides her husband, Guy, she is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Clarence (Lenore) Schlack of Mt. Prospect, Ill.; a son, Robert Kimpling of Florissant, Mo.; two sisters, Miss Gertrude Real of Olney and Mrs. Murvin (Esther) Crouse of Noble and four grandchildren. 

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Betty Lee in 1931 and one brother, Omer.

Funeral services for Mrs. Kimpling held in the chapel of the Schaub Funeral Home with Rev. Clay T. Cramer officiating.  Interment in the Noble City Cemetery.
