Evangeline Frutiger - Class Of 1919

Mary Evangeline Frutiger, 67, of 311 East Chestnut Street, lifelong fine citizen of Olney, and loyal employee of the First National Bank for many years, died Thursday September 27, 1968 at the Richland Memorial Hospital.

Miss Frutiger was born in Olney on November 4, 1900, daughter of Jacob and Nellie E. Butz Frutiger. Her mother survives her.

She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, the Daughters of the American Revolution, was a member of the staff of the First National Bank for 48 years, was Olney City Treasurer for a number of years, was a member of Women's Christian Temperance Union, was Curator of the Historical Department of Olney Central College, a member of the American Legion Auxiliary and was selected Business Woman of the Year, of Olney, a few years ago.

Besides her mother, Mrs. Jacob Frutiger, she is also survived by a brother, Gustav Frutiger of Houston, Texas and a sister, Mrs. Owen (Dorothea Nell) Marsh of Springfield, Ill.

Funeral services at First United Methodist Church of Olney with the Rev. Dr. W.A. Robinson in charge. Interment in Haven Hill Cemetery.
