Marie Dyson (Ramsey) - Class Of 1919

Marie D. Ramsey, 85, 231 Bower St., Olney, died at 8:37 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 29, 1987, at Richland Memorial Hospital.  Services in the chapel of Summers Funeral Home, Olney, the Rev. Donald Kline presiding. Burial in Trexler-Kedrin Cemetery, rural Newton.

Mrs. Ramsey was born Nov. 11, 1901 in Newton, the daughter of John E. and Della M. (Wooden) Dyson.  She married Ross D. Ramsey on Nov. 10, 1949. He preceded her in death June 18, 1987.

She was a retired school teacher, having taught in Olney schools for more than 45 years and was a member of the Retired Teachers Association.

She is survived by a stepson, Eugene of Albion; one brother, Dean Dyson of Boise, Idaho; one sister, Madeline Fildes of Washington; and several nieces and nephews, including Diane Coup and Fred Snider.

Besides her husband, Mrs. Ramsey was preceded in death by her parents and by a brother.
