Frederick Wilson - Class Of 1919

Fred S. Wilson, 64, a Miami, Florida real estate broker, died Saturday night, May 15, 1965. He was born in Olney, Illinois, March 19, 1901 son of William E. and Louise M. (Gaffner) Wilson.

Mr. Wilson moved to Miami in 1930 from Cincinnati. He was a lay leader, teacher of the Men’s Bible Class and former chairman of the Official Board of the First Methodist Church.

He was the past president of Coral Gables Rotary Club, a director of Guaranty Bank, and a director of Southwest YMCA and also a member of Mahi Shrine, the Jesters, Scottish Rite Bodies, Coral Gables Elks Club and Coral Gables Country Club.

Surviving are his wife, Martha; a brother, James and a sister, Mabel (Byron) Dush.

Services at First Methodist Church of Coral Gables. Van Orsdel Coral Gables Mortuary in charge.
