John T. Schneiter, 84, 115 E. Vine in Olney, died at Richland Memorial Hospital Oct. 14, 1990.

Mr. Schneiter was born Dec. 22, 1905 in Olney, the son of John and Emma (Wetzlau) Schneiter. He married Mary Jane Alcorn on Sept. 9, 1928 in Salem, and she survives.

He was a retired owner and operator of Schneiter Brothers Grocery, a member and past Elder of the First Presbyterian Church, a member of the Eagles Lodge, and a past Exalted Ruler of Olney Elks #926.

Surviving in addition to his wife are one son, John A. Schneiter of Northfield and his wife Suzanne; one sister, Mrs. C.L. (Edna) Dees of Oblong; four grandchildren -- Jill, Steve, Joanna and Clay; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and one sister.
