Cecil Stallard, 78, Olney died Monday afternoon September 17, 1984 in Olney Care Center.  Services at First United Methodist Church with Rev. Dwight Jones presiding. Burial in Crest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery.

Mr. Stallard was born November 3, 1905 in Richland County, the son of Zina and Demsi Stallard. He worked as an Illinois State Trooper for a short time and then farmed until his retirement.

He was a member of the First United Methodist Church; Olney Lodge 926 B.P.O.E.; Olney Lodge 140 A.F. & A.M. and Richland Post 1801 O.O.F.

Survivors include his wife, Leta; three sons, Rodney, Forney, Texas; Doug, Decatur; Jerry, Olney; three brothers, George and Eldon both of Olney; Kenneth, Wilmington; eight grandchildren; a great-granddaughter and several nieces and nephews.
