Clark E. Gayer, 78, 310 N. East St., Olney, died Friday April 3, 1981 at Richland Memorial Hospital. Funeral services at Summers Funeral Home with Rev. David McNabb presiding. Burial in Haven Hill Cemetery.
He was born in German Township, Richland County to William Edward Gayer and Tallula Musgrove. On Nov. 17, 1918, he married Pauline Hunt.
Surviving are his wife, Pauline; a son, Donald Gayer, Phoenix, Ariz.; a daughter, Carolyn Rainey, Tempe, Ariz.; 11 grandchildren, five great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Pearl Gayer; two sisters, Tressie Edmiston and Perna Miller.
Mr. Gayer was a retired shoe factory employee, having worked for many years at International Shoe Co. in Olney. He was a member of First United Methodist Church.
