Paul Shipley, 59, Danville, California, formerly of Olney died Friday (October 1974) in Danville. Funeral services in  California.

He was a son of the late Jesse Shipley and Mrs. Mamie Shipley of Olney. His father was formerly a state trooper and a former Richland County Sheriff. He was born in Richland County (May 24, 1914) and graduated from the Olney Township high school in 1931 and later attended Southern Illinois University at Carbondale.

Paul resided in California for the past 30 years and was an employee of the State of California.

He is survived by his wife, Eleanor; two sons, Paul, Jr. and Tom of Danville, Calif.; his mother, Mrs. Mamie Shipley of Freeport; three brothers, Willard Shipley of El Segundo, Calif., Congressman George E. Shipley and former Sheriff, Bill Shipley both of Olney; and two sisters, Mrs. Irene Bookman of Freeport and Mrs. Naomi Mackey of Mt. Prospect.
