Myra Elthia Piper, 84, of United Methodist Village in Lawrenceville, formerly of Olney, died Saturday April 11, 1992 at Lawrence County Memorial Hospital.  Private family services at the Smith Funeral Home in Lawrenceville with Rev. Gale Barkalow officiating. Burial in Crest Haven Cemetery.

Mrs. Piper was born in Richland County November 13, 1907, the daughter of Carl and Sarah (Wright) Lubben. She married Raymond Piper and he preceded her in death.

Mrs. Piper was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Olney. She was Deputy Clerk for Richland County for several years.

Mrs. Piper is survived by one daughter, Joanne Forrest of Decatur and five grandchildren.
