Marie Bourne, 74, of Noble, Wynoose Community, died Sunday December 10, 1978 at Richland Memorial Hospital. Services at Zirkle Funeral Home with burial in Greenhill Cemetery south of Noble.

Mrs. Bourne was born November 23, 1904 in Wakefield to John and Jennie Chestnut Fuson. She married Roy Bourne April 26, 1930 in Olney.

Surviving are her husband; a daughter, Mrs. John (Mary Jane) Slichenmyer, Olney; brothers, Dr. L.H. Fuson, Ware Neck, Va.; Dr. William A. Fuson, Caladonia, Mich.; Dr. R. C. Fuson, Champaign; Alvin A. Fuson, Peoria; and Merritt J. Fuson, Decatur; sisters, Mrs. Lloyd (Ina) Combs, Olney; Mrs. Maud Warren, Newton and Mrs. Myra Nadler, Newton; three grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

Preceding her in death was a brother, Clarence and a sister, Mrs. Mabel Pryor.

A teacher in the West Richland elementary schools for 16 years; Mrs. Bourne was a member of the Wynoose United for Christ Church; Contentment Chapter 23 Order of Eastern Star, Retired Teachers Association, DAR, Richland County Home Extension, Wynoose Missionary Society, Noble Abedarian and Wynoose Ladies Club.
