Ruth Alois Chaplin, 22, daughter of Ralph and Mary Chaplin, was born in Olney, October 4, 1906; died at her home east of Olney, December 28, 1928. She leaves to mourn their loss a father, mother, four sisters, four brothers, grandfather, grandmother, besides other friends and relatives.
She received her education in the public schools of Olney, graduating with honor in 1925. She taught one term in the country, and was teaching her third term in the East Cherry street school when she was called away.
She joined the United Brethren church in her early teens. She was an active member in every department of the church and Sunday school, and for several years was a teacher of a Sunday school class in this church. She is highly esteemed by the membership of this church, and loved by all who knew her.
