Lee Phillips, 70, of Kankakee, formerly of the Mt. Gilead neighborhood, died Tuesday evening (September 1976) at Riverview Hospital, Kankakee. Services at the Phillips and Friday Funeral Home in Kankakee, with burial in Kankakee.

He was born in Richland County January 13, 1906, son of William and Nora Phillips.

Mr. Phillips was employed as a bookkeeper with the Chevrolet dealership here many years ago, and held the same position with the dealership in Kankakee.

He leaves his wife, Helen; four sons, Jim, Jerry, Gene and John; a daughter, Mrs. Joan Wintergerst; a brother, Ray Phillips of Olney; several nieces and nephews.
