Harry Higgins, 86, of Parkersburg, died Wednesday, April 7, 1993, at Burgin Manor Nursing Home in Olney.  Funeral services at Ingram Funeral Home in West Salem, with Brother Donald Tharp officiating. Burial in Moravian Cemetery.

Mr. Higgins was born Dec. 6, 1906, in Richland County, the son of Charles and Daisy (Fite) Higgins. He married Ruth Loos June 1, 1929, in Olney.

Mr. Higgins was a retired school teacher. He was principal of Palestine School. He taught at West Salem, Sumner and Palestine. He was a former member of West Salem Masonic Lodge, Richland County Retired School Teachers Association and Berryville Christian Church.

Mr. Higgins is survived by his wife, Ruth Higgins of Parkersburg; one son, Jon Higgins of Escondido, Calif.; one cousin, Marjorie Koertge of West Salem and two grandchildren.
