Clara Leona (Pflaum) Bartley, 85, of Hemet, California, formerly of Valparaiso, Indiana died Monday, November 13, 1989.

She was born April 8, 1904 in Olney, Illinois, the daughter of Henry and Nina (Biehl) Pflaum.

Mrs. Bartley held many offices in the Porter County Farm Bureau. She was a member of the Center Township Home Economics Club.

On July 3, 1924 in Chicago, Illinois she married Charles A. Bartley who preceded her in death in 1967.

Survivors are one daughter, Nina Deitz of California; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

A memorial service held in Hemet Calif. with interment in Kimball Cemetery, Liberty Township, Valparaiso.
