John Conour - Class Of 1923

John Conour, 64, of Olney, who was injured early Monday, when his truck collided with a car carrying two Decatur brothers, died shortly after noon yesterday, May 15, 1951 in Olney Sanitarium.

Mr. Conour, previously reported as a resident of Altamont, was injured when he swerved to avoid hitting a skunk in the road on Rte. 33 southeast of Effingham, and struck the car occupied by Harold L. Craig and Gilbert Craig. The cab of Conour’s truck caught fire but he escaped without burns.

The three men are in Olney Sanitarium where the Craigs were reported to have several broken bones and Conour severe shock and a broken left wrist.

Mr. Conour’s body is in the Schaub Funeral Home in Olney. He leaves his wife.
