William Horace Hammer, 81 of Calumet City, Illinois, formerly of Harvey, died Friday, November 1, 1985 in Ingalls Memorial Hospital, Harvey.

Mr. Hammer was born August 16, 1904 in Olney, Illinois and was a retired vice president of Harvey Federal Savings & Loan association. He was a life member of Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks Lodge 1242, Harvey Lodge 832, Ancient Free & Accepted Masons, and was active in the Harvey Community Chest and YMCA building.

He is survived by his wife, Tillie; two sons, Charles of Homewood and David of Chicago Heights; two sisters, Juanita Hammer Ogdon of New York and Doris Hammer Watson of Maine; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
