Phyllis Tillitson (Fritchey) - Class Of 1923

Richland County  Native, Dies ~ Mrs. Phyllis Fritchey, 56, of Champaign, widow of the late Theodore Fritchey of Claremont and a 1923 graduate of Olney High School, died Friday morning at her home in Champaign.

Mrs. Fritchey was born near Rockford January 18, 1913, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Monty Tillitson. She lived in Champaign nearly all her life.

She was a grade school teacher at South Side School and a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Champaign.

Survivors are a daughter, Mrs. Donald (Judy) Feldman, Ann Arbor, Mich.; three sons, Robert Fritchey, Theodore Fritchey and Monty Rekdahl of Guam; a brother, Swain Tillitson, Anaheim, Calif.; and five grandchildren.

Her husband, Ted Fritchey preceded her in death in April 1967.

Mrs. Fritchey was well known in Richland County as she had often visited with relatives here.

Funeral services held at the Heath and Sons Funeral Home in Champaign with Rev. Father Harris J. Mowry, an Episcopalian clergyman in charge. Burial at Mt. Olive Mausoleum, Champaign.
