Brenda Kay Auteberry, 63, of Newton, died Thursday, January 12, 2012, at Deaconess Gateway Hospital in Newburgh, Ind. Funeral services at Blake-Buchanan Funeral Home in Newton with Reverend Ron Linder officiating. Burial in Plainfield Cemetery near Rose Hill.
Mrs. Auteberry was born May 5, 1948, in Olney, the daughter of Clinton and Mary (Wells) Williams. She married John Auteberry Jr. on April 17, 1965. He survives.
She worked at Newton Rest Haven for 17 years and at Burgin Manor in Olney for 14 years as a nurse's aide. She attended Free Methodist Church in Newton. She was a member of Olney Eagles Lodge and she enjoyed going to horse races.
Mrs. Auteberry is survived by her husband of 46 years, John Auteberry Jr., of Newton; children, Sherry (Danny) Auteberry Harren, of Olney, Deana Auteberry Franz, of Newton, Diana (Scott) Billingsley, of Newton, Denise Auteberry, of Newton, John “J.C.” Auteberry, of Newton; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and brothers and sisters, Lana (Martin) Janicke, Robert (Linda) Amos, Charles Powell Byers, Rose Rodgers, Debbie Powell, Sharon Powell and Karen Powell.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Clinton and Mary Williams; brother, Richard Williams; father- and mother-in-law, John and Rose Auteberry; and mother- and father-in-law, Mamie and Marion Case.
