ANNA, Ill. -- Opal Holtz, 94, of Bloomington, Ill., formerly of Anna, died Sunday, March 20, 2005, at Meadows Mennonite Retirement Community in Chenoa, Ill.

She was born Feb. 12, 1911, in Corpus Christi, Texas, daughter of Frank and Emma Dummermuth Marlow. She and Howard Holtz were married Oct. 21, 1932. He died June 30, 1963.

Holtz was a retired licensed practical nurse. She was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church and former member of Anna United Methodist Church.

Survivors include a daughter, Carol Griffith of Bloomington; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two sons

Burial in Anna Cemetery.
