Gladys Emily Williams, 93, of Noble, died Thursday May 27, 2004 at Burgin Manor in Olney.  Services at Summers-Kistler Funeral Home in Olney with Minister Rob Slover officiating.  Burial in Greenhill Cemetery in Noble.

Mrs. Williams was born November 22, 1910 in Wayne County, the daughter of Seymour H. and Susan J. (Johnson) Madding.  She married Lou A. Williams on February 19, 1943.  He preceded her in death on December 9, 1989.

She was a homemaker and a member of Wynoose Congregational Christian Church in Wynoose.

Mrs. Williams is survived by a son, Wayne Williams and his wife, Linda of Noble; a daughter, Sally Slover and her husband, Frank of Olney; a step-daughter, Mary Jane Doan of Olney; a brother, William Harold Madding of Decatur; four grandchildren; 11 step-grandchildren; six great-grandchildren and 16 step-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, three sisters, Mary, Eula and Agnes and four brothers, Wilbur, Enoch, George and Eldon.
