Alice O. Marvel, 94, of Olney died Sunday February 24, 2002 at Richland Memorial Hospital in Olney.  Funeral services at Summers-Kistler Funeral Home with Reverend Bob Humphrey officiating. Burial in Brown Cemetery near Mt. Erie.

Mrs. Marvel was born on December 22, 1908 in Wayne County, the daughter of Samuel Jackson and Cecile Leone (Fidler) Long. She married Albert Hayward Marvel on May 24, 1931. He preceded her in death on August 30, 1977.

She was a homemaker and a member of Olney Church of the Nazarene.

Mrs. Marvel is survived by a daughter, D. Arleene VanFossen and her husband, Roy Jr. of Mt. Erie; two grandsons and five great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband and parents.
