Sara Ellen (Miller) Pickerel, 79, of Noble, Illinois died Sunday, February 11, 1990 at the Olney Care Center, Olney, IL.

She was born September 7, 1910 in Wynoose, the daughter of Charles and Mary (Taylor) Miller. She married Walter Pickerel, February 3, 1951 in Mt. Carmel and he died in 1980.

She operated the store in Wynoose for many years and was a member of the Wynoose United for Christ Church and Wynoose Women’s Club.

Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Steve (Elizabeth) Burgener of Noble; a sister, Sophia Crum of Columbia, IL and two grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents; two brothers, James W. Miller and Charles Emery Miller and one sister, Lela Mae Dugan.

Funeral services were held at Hosselton Bookhout-Engelmeier Funeral Home in Noble with burial in Green Hill Cemetery south of Noble.
