Elsie Julia (Bolinger aka McGinn) Brashear, 90, of Olney, died Friday, March 1, 2002, at Deaconess Hospital in Evansville, Ind.

Mrs. Brashear was born on July 2, 1911, in Olney, the daughter of John and Florence (Bolinger) McGinn. She married Arlie F. Brashear. He preceded her in death on February 21, 1958.

She was a homemaker and a member of Olney Free Methodist Church.

Mrs. Brashear is survived by four sons, Fred Brashear, of Osteen, Fla., Dan Brashear, of Olney, Sam Brashear, of Olney, and Don Brashear, of Orcas, Wash.; four daughters, Carol Purdue, of St. Augustine, Fla., Mary Brashear, of Olney, Arlene Purdy, of Tucson, Ariz., and Jane Keller, of Shelburn, Ind.; two step-daughters, Dorothy Brinkley and Alberta Cummins, both of Olney; a sister, Gladys Crawley, of Casper, Wyo.; and 30 grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; a daughter, Julia Brashear; a brother; two sisters; and one step-daughter, Dora Fleming.

Services at Summers-Kistler Funeral Home in Olney with graveside services at Linden Lawn Cemetery in rural Olney with Pastor Steve Wingert officiating.
