Mary Jane Schneiter, 88, of Olney died Saturday March 14, 1998 at Richland Memorial Hospital.  Services at First Presbyterian Church with Rev. David A. McNabb officiating. Burial in Haven Hill Cemetery.

Schneiter was born May 4, 1909 in Columbia, Tenn., the daughter of Harry and Louise (Wachtel) Alcorn. She married John Theodore Schneiter September 9, 1928. He preceded her in death Oct. 14, 1990.

She was  a retired homemaker.

She is survived by one son, John A. Schneiter and his wife, Suzanne of Northfield and four grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; five brothers and two sisters.
