Helen Rubydean Jacobs, 93, Newton, Illinois died Friday, January 16, 2004. Services 10 a.m. Tuesday at Newton Christian Church. Visitation one-half hour before services in the church. Burial in West Lawn Cemetery, Newton.

Miss Jacobs was born in Illinois February 27, 1910 a daughter of Reverend Alvin O. Jacobs and Betty J. (Buser) Jacobs. (Reverend Jacobs was the Congregational Christian Church pastor in Olney during the 20’s and 30’s.)

Miss Jacobs was a Public School Teacher.

She was preceded in death by her parents Rev. Alvin and Betty Jacobs; brothers, Harold S. Jacobs and Orel W. Jacobs; sisters, Etha (Fred) Sims, Susie (C.W.) Head and Irene (Arthur) Twomey.
