Pauline Hunt (Gayer)

Pauline W. Gayer, 87, Olney died Tuesday August 5, 1997 at Richland Memorial Hospital.  Services at Summers-Kistler Funeral Home in Olney with Rev. Ralph Totten officiating. Burial in Haven Hill Cemetery in Olney.

Gayer was born May 27, 1910 in Richland County, the daughter of Paul H. and Lula F. (Totten) Hunt. She married Clark E. Gayer November 17, 1928. He preceded her in death April 3, 1981.

She worked in Sherman's Department Store for 17 years and Olney Savings and Loan for 24 years. She was retired. She was a member of First United Methodist Church and Eastern Star.

She is survived by one son, Donald Gayer and his wife, Joann of Olney; two sisters, Helen Stivers and Catherine Crosby, both of Olney; 12 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; two brothers, John F. Hunt and James L. Hunt; three sisters, Myrtle Jenner, Louella Kemletz and Naomi Spear; a daughter, Carolyn Rainey and a great-grandson.
