Mrs. George Elizabeth (Fehrenbacher) Huffman, 82, of Olney, died Wednesday, Aug. 12, 1992 at Richland Memorial Hospital. Funeral services at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Olney, with Rev. Father George Mauck officiating. Burial in St. Joseph Cemetery in Olney.

Mrs. Huffman was born Nov. 3, 1909 in Clay County, the son of Henry and Mary (Nix) Fehrenbacher. She married Albert O. "Putt" Huffman in Olney in 1931. He preceded her in death in 1964.

Mrs. Huffman was a retired operating room nurse supervisor. She was a member of St Joseph Catholic Church in Olney and the Nurses Association.

Mrs. Huffman is survived by three sons, Albert Huffman, Dundee, Tom Huffman, Mattoon, and John Huffman, Carbondale; one daughter, Mrs. Ron (Georgia) Page, Homestead, Fla.; three sisters, Hermina Fehrenbacher, Claudia Larrouy, and Betty Lancaster, all of Olney; 14 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Huffman was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one daughter Martha Harrell and two sisters, Lenora Fehrenbacher and Dorothy Kaufman.
