The Reverend Willard Madden, 84, of St. Francisville, Illinois died Tuesday, December 21, 1993 at Good Samaritan Hospital in Vincennes. He was born February 28, 1909 in Olney, the son of Louis and Kathryn (Bullard) Madden.

He was a retired minister and member of the Wabash Conference of the Free Methodist Churches of North America.

Surviving are his second wife, Elva M. (Hill) Madden; three sons, Robert L. Madden of Conway, AR, Richard D. Madden of St. Francisville and Fred L. Madden of Frankfort, KY; a brother, William I. Madden of Lombard; ten grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

His first wife, Mary (Gray) Madden died in 1942.

Services at Sand Barrens Free Methodist Church. No visitation. Burial in Oak Lawn Cemetery in St. Francisville.
