Lawrence Franklin, 82, of Olney, died Friday, June 7, 1991 at Richland Memorial Hospital in Olney.  Funeral services in the Chapel of Summers-Kistler Funeral Home with Rev. Bob Logan and Steve Hale officiating. Burial in Dundas Cemetery

Mr. Franklin was born Oct. 12, 1908 in Dundas, the son of Carl and Lillian (Haskell) Franklin. He married Delores Meek Feb. 2 1936.

Mr. Franklin was a retired farmer. He was a member of First United Methodist Church and a charter member of the Dundas Ruritan Club.

Mr. Franklin is survived by his wife, Delores; three sons, Larry Franklin and wife, Kathy, Nashville, Ill., Rick Franklin and wife, Anne, Olney, Steve Franklin and wife, Patricia, Charleston, Ill.; three brothers, John W. Franklin, Peoria, Ill., Cecil Franklin and Bernard Franklin, both of Olney; three sisters, Ruth Burgener and Pauline Bateman, both of Olney, Cleo Bunton, Peoria, Ill.; five grandchildren, Jodi Franklin, Mrs. Chad (Julie)Schaeffer, Shelley, Chris and Brock Franklin, one great-grandchild, Megan Schaeffer, and several nieces and nephews.

Mr. Franklin was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters.
