Ret. Col. Donald Bliss Lenkerd, age 83, passed away March 7, 1993 in Florida. Interment in Garden of Memories Cemetery, Tampa, Florida.

Col. Lenkerd was born July 5, 1909 in Dubois, Pennyslvania son of Rev. Fr. John Adam and Edith M. (Bliss) Lenkerd. He married Shirley L. Lowe in 1949 and she survives.

Col. Lenkerd served 30 years in the U.S. Air Force, serving in W.W. II, Korea and Viet Nam.

After his retirement he opened a periodontal practice in Temple Terrace, Florida.

He is survived by his wife, Shirley; daughter, Diana Kay, Son, Jeffrey and a grandson.

He is preceded in death by his parents.
