Lloyd L. Scherer, 75, a 15-year employee of Grady Buick in Mobile, Alabama died at a local hospital October 9, 1982.  Funeral services at Balmany Funeral Home with interment in Pine Crest Cemetery, Mobile.

Lloyd was born February 14, 1907 a son of Theodore L. and Lena (Blatter) Scherer.

Scherer, a Mobile resident for the past 48 years and a native of Olney, Illinois had worked for 40 years as a jeweler.  He was a member of Howard Lodge #69 A.F. & A.M., Scottish Rite and Abba Temple.

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Elana Scherer of Mobile; one daughter, Mrs. Eloyd Scherer Murphy of Pascagula, Miss. and Dallas, Texas; two granddaughters; three brothers, Roy Scherer of Calif., Luther Scherer and Jerome Scherer both of Illinois; two sisters, Mrs. Julia Scherer Henry of Texas and Mrs. Evelyn Scherer Lurvey of Arkansas and other relatives.
