Vernon S. Fildes, 70, Winslow, Wash. died Thursday, May 24, 1979 from an apparent heart attack.

He is survived by his wife, Madeline, a son, Vernon, Los Angeles; a step-daughter, Diane Culp, Winslow, Wash.; a step-son, Fred Schneiter, Denver; nine step-grandchildren; two sisters, Bessie Englert, Colorado and Cathryn Tellerman and Marie and Ross Ramsey, sister and brother-in-law, Olney.

He had retired from Atlantic Richfield Hanford Co. in 1972 and preceded in death by his parents, Dr. and Mrs. V.S. Fildes, Olney.
