Mary Legg (Judy)

Mrs. Mary O. Judy, age 42, the wife of Norman Judy of north German township, passed away Sunday morning, June 4, 1950 at the Jackson Hospital following a long illness. She had been a patient at the hospital for the past 10 days.

Mrs. Judy was one of the county's well known and highly respected school teachers, teaching for the past 20 years in Richland and Lawrence counties.

She is survived by her husband Norman, her mother; Mrs. Edna Legg of German township; and five sisters; Mrs. Pauline Piper, Mrs. Grace Shick, Mrs. Claudine Stout, Mrs. Eleanor Forsyth all of Sumner and Mrs. Helen Berger of Olney.

Funeral services were held at the Asbury Church in German township with the Rev. Frank Treadway and Rev. James Powell in charge. Interment was in Stoltz cemetery.

The body was taken to the family home Monday afternoon from the Summers-Dush Funeral Home.
