Lyle Porter

Lyle W. Porter, 74, 122 W. Elm St., Olney was found dead in his home Thursday afternoon, April 30, 1981.  Services in the Zirkle Funeral Home with Pastor Don Rhein presiding. Burial in Haven Hill Cemetery.

Mr. Porter was born March 27, 1907 in West Hope, N. Dakota, the son of Charles and Anna (Walker) Porter.

He was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Olney.

Survivors inlcude two sons, Nick, Pampa, Texas; Terrance, San Diego, Calif.; three daughters, Mrs. Loyal (Gay) Knight and Mrs. Ed (Linda) Womack, both of Carmi, Mrs. Warren (Katherine) Miller, Lexington, Ky.; three brothers, Howard, Fairfield; Kenny, Sunny Mead, Ca.; George, Coco Beach, Fla.; two sisters, Mrs. Grace Hostettler, Ocala, Fla.; Mrs. Avalon Kemple, Lees Summitt, Mo. eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by a four-year old son, A.C. and a brother, Leo.
