Mrs. Juanita (McDowell) Cassady, 70, of Springfield, Illinois died Friday, December 14, 1984 at the Mercy Hospital in Iowa City, Iowa.

She was born November 22, 1914 in Edwards County Illinois, the daughter of Chester and Drusella (Roby) McDowell.

A resident of Springfield since 1947, Mrs. Cassady married Theodore J. Cassady in 1937 and he died in 1980. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church.

Surviving are five sons, Dr. John M. Cassady of West Lafayette, Ind; Col. David J. Cassady of Dumfries, Va; Richard Cassady of Effingham; S. Patrick Cassady of East Peoria and T. Allen Cassady of Iowa City, Iowa; one daughter, Mrs. Dennis (Mary) Kepler of Springfield and 21 grandchildren.

Services at the Vancil Memorial Funeral Chapel with burial in Oak Ridge Cemetery.
