Mrs. Caroline Gassmann Montgomery, 43, former well-known Olney resident, of Havana, Illinois died early Tuesday morning, January 18, 1972 in the Havana Hospital following a short illness.  Services held in the chapel of the Zirkle Mortuary with Pastor David McNabb officiating. Interment in Haven Hill Cemetery.

She was born in Olney May 8, 1928, a daughter of George Ann Concannon and Louis Henry Gassmann.  She was united in marriage at Olney with J. L. "Jack" Montgomery of Havana who survives her.  Also surviving are two sons: Patrick and Jimmy, both at home; her mother, Mrs. George Ann Gassmann and one sister Mrs. Bob (Susanne) Schaub both of Olney. 

She was preceded in death by an infant son, James Louis Montgomery, July 30, 1960 and her father, Louis H. Gassmann on July 24, 1955.
