Mrs. Alice Nease Woods, 20 year old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Glenn Nease of Claremont, and her pastor husband, Rev. Melvin Woods, 28, were electrocuted Friday April 15, 1949 at a trailer camp near Grand Island, Neb. according to word received here.

According to press dispatches, the accident occurred during a snowstorm as Rev. Woods was changing a tire on his car when he came in contact with a 2300-volt wire which had fallen during the storm.

The bodies were found beside the trailer of the couple by a Nebraska state highway patrolman. The bodies had both apparently been struck by the wire, although Mrs. Woods may have been killed attempting to rescue or revive her husband. She was found clad in a nightgown after leaving the trailer to investigate or aid her husband.

The couple's year old daughter was found in their trailer unharmed.

The young minister was the son of Mr. and Mrs. W. L. Woods of Decatur. Besides her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Glenn Nease of Claremont, and her daughter, Mrs. Woods is survived by two step-daughters, Modena and Lina Woods of Greenup.

The bodies were returned to Decatur on Tuesday. Funeral services were held Wednesday in the Moran and Sons Funeral Home there, with burial in the Graceland cemetery at Decatur.
