Mary E. Dickerson, 57, of Highland, Illinois died Sunday, June 22, 1986 at Barnes Hospital in St. Louis, Mo.

Funeral services at the First Congregational Church in Highland with burial in the Highland Cemetery, the Rev. Jay W. Warren officiating.  Memorials to American Cancer Society.

Mrs. Dickerson was born January 5, 1929 in Olney, daughter of Orus D. Slichenmyer and  Ella M. Fiock. She married William H. Dickerson on February 7, 1946 in Olney, who survives.

Dickerson was a service representative for General Telephone in Highland and also secretary-bookkeeper for Dickerson Fire Extinguishing Co.  She was a member of the First Congregational Church in Highland.

In addition to her husband her survivors include one son, John W. (Bud) Dickerson, Highland; one daughter, Mrs. Gale Starks, Highland and four grandchildren.
