Winifred A. Joiner (nee Roberts), 84, of Carbondale, Colo., formerly of Northbrook, Ill., passed away peacefully Wednesday, August 10, 2011, in Carbondale, Colo., surrounded by family and friends.

Proud graduate of Northwestern University (49) and member of Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority chapter.

Beloved wife of the late Theodore E. Joiner, Jr., loving mother of Anne Joiner (Dennis Rea), the late Elizabeth (Liza) Joiner, Thomas (Mary Beth) Joiner, and Margaret (Thomas) Koziol. Dear grandmother of Elizabeth and Kimberly Koziol, Tommy, Adam and Kristen Joiner. Fond sister of Virginia McIlwain, the late Ansel (Sonny) Roberts, Mary Jane Plummer and Margaret (Peggy) Carson. Aunt to many nieces and nephews.

Beloved by special friend, Allen Koeneke, and numerous close friends and their families in whose thoughts she will remain.
