Luella Elizabeth Zuber, 75, of Olney died Monday February 24, 2003 at Olney Care Center.  Funeral services at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Olney with Reverend Father Jerry Wirth officiating. Burial in St. Joseph Cemetery in Olney.

Mrs. Zuber was born on December 10, 1927 in Clay County, the daughter of James and Bertha (Kuhl) Herman. She married Cyril C. Zuber on September 6, 1948 in Olney. He survives.

She worked for 38 years at First National Bank in Olney where she retired as Executive Secretary and Vice President. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Olney. she was past secretary for the Richland County Historical Society, Senior Citizens Quilt Club and past president of the American Legion Auxiliary.

Mrs. Zuber is survived by her husband, Cyril C. Zuber of Olney; a son, Daniel F. Zuber and his wife Debby of Olney; a daughter, Kristina McKavanagh and her husband, Gordon of Deerfield; three brothers, James Herman of Bowbells, N.D., Dr. Dan Herman of Vincennes, Ind. and Ray Herman of Mahomet; five sisters, Marge Hughes of LaJolla, Calif., Julia Blank of Olney, Alice Billman of Barrington, Jane Herman of Grand Junction, Colo. and Phyllis Harris of Findlay, Ohio;  and four grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one daughter, Mary Suzanne and one brother, Kenneth.
