
Jack P. Chaplin, 73, of Winter Haven, Florida, died Friday, March 6, 1992 at Winter Haven Hospital. A native of Olney, Ill., he moved to this area from Illinois in 1968.
He was a retired U.S. Department of Agriculture inspector, a veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Army, and attended Lynchburg Baptist Church in Auburndale.
He is survived by his wife, Mary V.; two sons, James H. of Winter Haven and Ben E. of Auburndale; two daughters, Kathy Hooper of Winter Haven and Judy Harrolle of Lake Alfred; two sisters, Pat Stiles of Englewood and Lucille Irwin of Hendersonville, N.C.; nine grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
