Lucille Lutes, 81, of Aumsville, Oregon, formerly of Dundas, died Monday April 2, 2001.

Mrs. Lutes was born on January 18, 1920 in Dundas, to Elmore and Margaret Buss.

She graduated from Eastern Illinois University in 1938. She taught school in rural Richland County and in Indiana. She also worked in a military tailor shop and was an administrative secretary for General Telephone in Lafayette, Ind. for 23 years.

She married Raymond Lutes and he preceded her in death in 1997.

Mrs. Lutes is survived by her daughter, Carol Ann Elkins and her husband, Andy of Aumsville, Ore.; a grandson, Keith of Lafayette, Ind.; and a brother, Lawrence Buss of Dundas.

A memorial service in Lafayette, Ind. with interment at Rest Haven Cemetery in Lafayette, Ind.
